about

Mark Fernyhough's original instrumental soundtrack to experimental short film ‘Aquaria’ which was projected onto Manhattan Bridge as part of major New York art festival ‘Light Year’ in 2021. Directed by Julia Obst & commissioned by the Leo Kuelbs Collection the film was additionally exhibited at Scope art gallery in Berlin, before touring the international film festival circuit.

Mark Fernyhough talking to Louder Than War about this project - "It’s sounding dreamlike and abstract. It’s still tonally dark and haunting, but conveyed through an entirely different musical language. My upcoming releases will further embrace the experimental, the spectral and the avant-garde."
